V&A Exhibition - Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk

The V&A is shut right now, but that hasn't stopped them! Running a virtual exhibition on Kimono Robes, it blew our minds and we just had to share.

Well, the Victoria and Albert Museum of London is one of the most incredible spaces to visit as a tourist when visiting the UK. And if you haven't been yet, put it on the bucket list.

I had the great fortune of living just down the road from there for a few non-consecutive years in my 20's and then my 30's and to be honest, I should have bought a season ticket. Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine they could produce so many incredible exhibits - and lets not forget they hold the coronation jewels of Queen Victoria! WHA?!

Anyway, sadly they are closed right now, however they have produced an amazing website including a 5 part video series highlighting some of the incredible features of the exhibition Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk.

Now, if you didn't already know, our kimono robes are all made in Kyoto, Japan. And our mens kimono robes and womens kimono robes have traditional patterns typical of the era and region. In the exhibition, you will see some rich information about the craft, the history, the wearers and collectors, the styling and street influences.

So we were very excited when we saw this!!!

Now we are going to link you off to another website now, but please don't forget us.
