I was delighted to receive this silk robe with its blooming flower design on an ivory background. The fabric is lovely and the design is graceful. I also purchased the version with a black background, and it is fascinating how the same print looks different on the two backgrounds. In this ivory version, the cranes are very subtle but the rose-colored plum blossoms are sumptuous. I love these robes and am very grateful to Beautiful Robes for offering them
This black short kimono robe made by Sakurai Shoji is a joy to have. The fabric is fine, moderately light weight silk satin and the crane and plum blossom print is beautiful, wrapping elegantly around the body. It comes without a size but fits fine on me, size medium, with room to spare. I am delighted to have it.
The fabric is high quality cotton, and the style, plus fabric design make for a very classy garment. Im very happy with it.
I recently purchased a Dragon kimono for a dear friend who just turned 60. I received a email stating that the sash or belt was " in there". When my friend opened it there wasn't a sash or belt, so the robe was incomplete.

Thank you for your review. By now your friend will have found the belt, we know how hard it is to find them in our long kimonos. They are tacked into the base of the sleeve and are the same fabric as the kimono. If they haven't found it, please have them reach out, as I am 99% confident it is there. If not, we will get another out to you, as the kimono definitely comes with a belt. We try to communicate this in many places on our written and packaging communications, but it is a common cause for enquiry. We store them here for shipping. Hope this helps!

This kimono is so pretty and the fabric breathes so it ideal for wearing around in the summer. The kimono washes well and it is pefect to wear for a lazy day or changing into after a hard day at work.
Got the matching pines and cranes kimonos for my boyfriend and I, and they are gorgeous, the black was the perfect choice, the colours shine so well. The fabric is really good quality, it's very soft for cotton and washing plus light steaming makes them even softer. Ordering this to Canada all the way from Australia was so worth it. For reference, I'm 5ft4 and the short kimono goes to my mid-calves, it's the perfect size and length for me, surprisingly not too large either.
